WhySham has provided DJ services for prominent figures and institutions such as Senator Elizabeth Warren, also current and past mayors of Boston. She has DJ’d a range of Special Events including the 2024 NBA Boston Celtics Championship, Boston Calling, Boston Pride and First Night Boston .

WhySham is a 4X Boston Music Award nominee, and opened for the iconic DJ Jazzy Jeff while being the Headlining DJ for NAACP 141’st Convention. Her #YourCommunityDJ deems true. However, it is her ability to fuse music with activism, as tools for healing and change, that truly sets her apart. Her background in Criminal Justice, Communication and Outreach has led her to merge her artistry as a DJ.
With a strong track record in live performances, WhySham has shared stages with major artists (Megan Thee Stallion, Ric Wilson, Lola Brooke, EarthGang and more). WhySham has been featured in publications such as The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, WBUR and more. WhySham’s debut project “Finally” released in 2020 featuring all womxn, where she coined the term ‘Social Justice Trap’ music. Finally was later re-released through Equity Distribution now under “Roc Nation Music” has become an womxn led festival.
Her first virtual concert (during the pandemic) “Finally Live” has now reached over 800 views on Youtube. “Finally Reloaded” festival was is in the early Fall attracting over 300 attendees. She has worked with over 100 local artists and organizations for consultations, event planning, branding and marketing, production, recording, engineering.
WhySham contracts with various Schools, Businesses and Organizations teaching ‘Basic Music Production’ Using Music and Food to Entertain for all ages. 2023-24 was contracted as the Music Curator for the Rogerson Adult Day Rehabilitation Center booking artists for monthly performances.
Her educational background includes a Certificate of Completion from Interise Streetwise ‘MBA’ ‘23’ and a Bachelor of Science from Cedar Crest College with a minor in Communications and a Certificate in Child Welfare ‘13. She has received several awards and grants, including the Better Beaches Grant (2023), Mass Cultural Council Grant (2023) and The Boston Public Health Commission grant for building community and addressing trauma and the impact of COVID in neighborhoods of color (2022).

WhySham created ‘Bringing Back Boston’ where multidisciplinary arts is used to create and curate events addressing trauma, mental and public health issues. She focuses on womxn and/or men who identify as LGBTQ+, were previously incarcerated, and/or homeless who have experienced inequalities in the entertainment industry.
