Using Music and Food To Entertain
Lunch Is Ova (LIO) is a program dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages and backgrounds by teaching basic Music Production and Public Speaking. LIO happens over a supportive, community-driven setting where learning happens over shared meals. LIO supports participants through music, health, and nutrition, while providing a pipeline to opportunities across various industries within live entertainment.
Over the years we have focused on decreasing the food and racial gaps in Black and Brown communities through our partnership with the Codman Square Farmers Market and more. We combine digital outreach and grassroots efforts to maximize our reach for communities who may not have access to internet or the physical ability to move.

Mission: Lunch Is Ova empowers individuals through music production, public speaking, and community-building over shared meals.
Vision: Lunch Is Ova envisions a world where creativity and connection thrive, empowering individuals through music, public speaking, and shared meals
One of our primary goals is to distribute “Lunch Is Ova HyPacks” each month—carefully curated hygiene products and healthy snacks—supporting artists, athletes, stagehands and entertainment workers who put in long hours to create special live moments.
Listen: while learning new skills to have confidence to express themselves and create meaningful impact.
Understand: artistic expression through music and communication.
Network: by building connections through shared learning and meals.
Communicate: by asking questions.
Help: Yourself by being you.
