The Boston Fleet took the ice at Agganis Arena, hosting the Seattle PWHL team (2–1) in a sold-out arena.
Thanks to Boston Legacy (FYI Opening Day is March 14, 12 PM ET at Gillette Stadium), I had the chance to cover our Boston’s Women’s Professional Hockey team.

As the night began, fans lined up in their Fleet merchandise or purchased some on the spot to show their Fleet pride.

The Boston Fleet celebrated African American History with Grammy nominated vocalist Michelle Brooks-Thompson. At half-time The Tri City team of young ladies played a quick game and got to cheer the players back on/off the court. These moments continue to highlight the rise of women’s sports.

My work personally has always centered on uplifting women shaped by graduating from an all women’s college where sisterhood was the foundation. From amplifying women artists behind the turntables to supporting women athletes, the mission always was the same. Give Women the platform they deserve and let the work speak for itself!
Through music and athletics, it’s about creating space, visibility, and opportunity in industries where women have had to fight to be seen and heard.
Boston’s women’s professional team is gaining more of the city’s and global attention.
