Brockton High vs. Randolph was exciting to watch. I met Coach Nick again through The Hoop Collaborative. He came to speak to the girls at Ladies Night about his role as a coach, how he navigates being a coach, player, and motivational speaker.

I told Coach Nick the day before that I was pulling up and I did! This school season, Iโve made it a priority to support the coaches and players Iโve met over the years, especially those making an impact in womenโs sports. Freelancing in sports photography has been a blast, and itโs always fun when people see me in a different element outside of DJing. At the Hoops x CT Sun event, I had the chance to meet Coach Enos. I had previously written an article mentioning her former player, so it was great meeting the coach who contributed . What I always appreciate is seeing coaches not just sending their players to basketball clinics but actively being present with them at these events. I arrived at Randolph High super early, thinking I had missed the first quarter, but it turned out I was right on time JV had just started playing. As the team warmed up, the stands gradually shifted from JV fans to varsity supporters. At one point, I almost forgot I was at Randolph High because of how much support Brockton had in the building. Thatโs not to say Randolph wasnโt holding it downโstudents were in the stands, hyping up their team, while parents brought out their comfy bleacher seats, and staff lined the walls, cheering them on.
Big shout-out to the staff at Randolph High School for creating such an electric atmosphere!

After halftime, the energy on the court shifted. Brockton, once in control, saw their 15-point lead start to shrink as turnovers piled up. It felt like the engine was running low on fuel, and I couldnโt help but think, โThey can’t let this team outscore them on fast breaks and fouls.โ Randolph seized the moment, applying relentless pressure. Within a three-minute span, they chipped away at the deficit, capitalizing on Brocktonโs turnovers. The momentum had flipped, and suddenly, the game was up for grabs. But Brockton still came out on top with the Win!

Jayla Bonds (Freshman) #21 may be little, but sheโs mighty! She drove the ball down the court, weaved through defenders, and got into the paint for a tough two-point lead and straight to the foul line. Her speed is something else! I love watching smaller players take on the bigs and centers (my type of player). She finished the game with 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 steals.
