BOSTON UNIVERSITY V HOLY CROSS 52-49

/

Big win for the Boston University ladies tonight! After a tough five-game losing streak, they really turned things around and dominated. I finally got the chance to see Boston University play—missed last week’s game against Navy, but tonight definitely made up for it. Plus, I’m pretty sure this was my first time covering college basketball with a media credential, so that was exciting as well!

The Crusaders had a 9-0 run, but BU quickly regained control and shut it down with some clutch defense and smart offense. They didn’t let the momentum shift for long, and that made all the difference as they pulled away for the win.

It took a little while for both teams to get on the board, but once they did, the game picked up pace. Holy Cross and Boston University both showed impressive defense, but BU really ramped it up in the third quarter, switching to full and half-court presses as the clock started to wind down.

Anete Adler (#20) came off the bench to score 19 points, 5 crucial points were in the final two minutes.

Sisi Bentley (#94) was a standout on both offense and defense. She was constantly in motion, with her hands always active—either deflecting passes or grabbing them!
