UNEDITED: July 19, 2025 Kicked off the Summer season of The Codman Square Farmers Market. This year market is managed by Carmelita, one of my Codman Academy Alumae sisters. The Market has been around for over 20 plus years bringing fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and more to our communities that may not have access to fresher foods. Each Saturday attendees are given up to $20 in funds to shop at the market.
Sean has been working with the Codman community for years. His smile and his attitude has never went unnoticed as he connects and makes sure everyone bags aren’t to heavy and customers aren’t bickering over no more beans because he has extra stashes in the truck.
The market is not only for food but for connecting neighbors who may have not spoken to each other, children who may not have played with each other and most importantly smaller businesses being able to showcase their work and product to their community.
The kickoff had Chef Mitchell with demonstrations, fresh hibiscus lemonade, cookies and so many delightful treats that one may not find at their local or major store.
