Boston University’s Closeout Struggles

Boston University has shown flashes of potential but struggles to close out games in key moments. Despite these hiccups, I believe they have the talent and coaching to improve in this area over time. In their recent matchup with Bucknell, my friend pointed out that “Bucknell looks stacked,” and while that’s true to an extent, I don’t think their performance outshined Boston University’s. Rather, Bucknell made better shot selections, and those shots just seemed to fall more consistently.

Boston University’s overall play might have been more well-rounded, but they need to tighten up their execution, especially in critical situations, to ensure they come out on top in these close games.

Gormley was (4-5 FG, 8-8 FT)
Adler was (5-6 FG, 3-4 FT)
Giannaros was (5-13 FG), 
Monteagudo took mostly threes (7 of 8 attempts), I think getting off more 3s will be efficient when trying to up the score.
